Position Summary:

We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Part Time Instructor - Phlebotomy Technician. The ideal candidate will plan, organize and teach in a manner that ensures the achievement of the institution's learning objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION

A part-time instructor is responsible for teaching in the subject area or areas that correspond to his or her area of specialty (Phlebotomy Technician). A part-time instructor contributes to the academic process of the institution through the participation in the development of curriculums, assessment, evaluation, research, peer mentoring and coaching, community service, advancement of the institution.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree
  • CPT Certification and able to submit a copy of any diploma, academic transcripts, and/or certifications.
  • At least three (3) years of professional experience.
  • Proven leadership skills from your previous work experience.
  • Experience as a successful instructor in your subject area.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluent), highly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in technical applications.
  • Available to work weekdays ans/or evenings.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability and willingness to teach assigned course load to include lectures and lab covering clinical and administrative skills.
  • Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.
  • You learn the material and deliver lectures and demonstrations
  • This is a part-time position, typically 9-18 hours per week.
  • Provide clinical instruction as it relates to Phlebotomy
  • Preparing student progress reports and grade reports
  • Maintaining accurate and timely attendance records
  • Attending faculty meetings
  • Maintaining professional qualifications through participation in continuing education programs, in-service training, and academic courses.
  • Perform other duties as required by the program coordinator, program director, Dean, or campus administration.
