Continuing Education:

A part of the UCF Division of Digital Learning, Continuing Education (CE) provides high-quality and cost-effective opportunities through re-education, training, professional advancement, and personal growth. UCF CE's partnerships with academic, business, and professional communities offer the best in courses and seminars, certifications, degree programs, and professional development. Continuing Education has a hybrid work environment, where employees work on site at the Research Park in Orlando, and remotely on a set schedule.

The Opportunity:

The Continuing Education Coordinator coordinates and supports a portfolio of non-credit, professional certification, contract training, college-partnered, and industry partnership educational programs. The coordinator plans, promotes, administers, and evaluates these programs in coordination with UCF, partners, and the business community. In lieu of programs, coordinators may have conference/workshop/seminar management assignments, including registration, event expense processing, timely partner payment, and evaluations. Coordinators report to a Program Director or Manager, working in a professional, collaborative team to support the programs and events offered through the department.

This is an auxiliary funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate will be an organized communicator who will develop, manage, and evaluate a number of continuing education programs.

  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting on program budgets, tracking of enrollments, auditing courses and participant experience for quality assurance, and evaluating success of programs based on identified measures.

  • Responsible for the planning and organizing of program operations, including developing course schedules and entering course information into registration system, conducting participant and client-based registration support, advising and course selection support, course transfers/cancellations, participant grade reports, certificates of completion, badge approval, and transcripts.

  • Assist in client-based requests and all logistical training support to include securing of presentation/course materials and supplies. Manage instructor/facilitator communications and coordination support to include processing of training evaluations and compensation.

  • Responsible for client follow-ups related to end of course performance measures, invoicing and payment receipts.

  • Collaborate with marketing manager as needed on development and implementation of marketing strategy, publicity, and promotion of assigned programs.

  • Local travel and on-site training support may also be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using web-based student information systems or event registration systems.

  • Experience in education administration, educational services, organizational development, or career training.

  • Successful candidate will be a lifelong learner who is a creative solution seeker with strong communication skills.
